Request for Submissions 

As an Administrator, do you have a story to tell about how to improve teacher evaluation? As a Teacher, do you have a story to tell about how to get the best evaluation possible?

We are collecting and sharing brief articles, or bulleted lists of hints or tips, that will be of help to administrators and teachers who are conducting evaluations or being evaluated. We will post your submission on the EvaluWise® website: www.evaluwise.org.

Whether you choose to share a story about teacher evaluation that will be helpful to another educator, or you wish to share a list of helpful ideas from the perspective of the evaluator or the person being evaluated, please do take a few minutes to share your experience and knowledge to help your fellow educators.

Here are a few possible topic ideas to spark your thoughts -- but please feel free to come up with your own topics.

Administrators: Building trust during the Teacher Evaluation process; tips or hints you have found to be helpful as an administrator or that may have helped a teacher; scheduling evaluations and walkthroughs, best practices, how to manage the Teacher Evaluation process as a busy administrator, stories about interesting, helpful or humorous events that happened to you during teacher evaluations, tips for a new administrator who is just starting to do evaluations, concerns that new administrators may have and how to deal with them, tips for doing efficient and effective walkthroughs.

Teachers: Preparing for successful Teacher Evaluations, How to demonstrate the skills or behaviors you are being evaluated on, How to set up your pre-conference for success, how to showcase or highlight your strengths and talents, dealing with evaluation stress and nerves, stories about interesting, helpful or humorous events that happened to you during teacher evaluations, building trust with your administrator, preparing for evaluations as a teacher working with a particular subject or student population.
